Specularite is a form of Hematite that has become increasingly rare to find. These particular slabs were found in Michigan, USA. Specularite, also known as specular hematite, is just another variety of the Hematite stone making this another protective and deflective specimen. These slabs are half polished, one side is polished and coated with resin to prevent any flaking as the mineral can be fragile.
